The musicians met a few years ago at the Rencontres Musicales Irlandaises de Tocane, a well-known Irish music festival that has been running since 1991. Their mix of Irish dance tunes such as jigs, reels, hornpipes and polkas, along with traditional songs, brings a lively energy to any social gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Banish Misfortune, Irish traditional music in SW France\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YaC3n_d1ch8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The band leads weekly sessions at the Connemara Irish pub in Bordeaux (Fridays) and monthly sessions at L&#8217;Ogrillon restaurant, Douchapt 24350 (first Saturday of the month).
